Regarding shower foam, you might want to ask…
As a spray-type shower product, some people may wonder: What is the difference between it and regular shower gel? Why is the foam sometimes thin and sometimes thick? Is it safe to use? Don't worry, we've compiled the most frequently asked questions from end users and will explain them all at once.

1. What is a shower foam?
Shower foam is a spray-type cosmetic product that uses a one-way valve and propellant to transform liquid shower ingredients into a dense foam that comes out upon pressing, eliminating the need for manual lathering. It can be directly applied to the body for cleansing. Compared to regular shower gel, the biggest difference with shower bubbles lies in the texture experience—rich, soft, and elastic foam, like clouds or mousse, significantly enhancing the pleasure and ritualistic feel of bathing.
2. The technical principles of producing shower foam?
The core of the shower foam lies in aerosol filling technology, which involves three key elements:
Material: A liquid formulation containing surfactants, moisturizers, and active ingredients.
Propellant: Commonly used are propane, butane, dimethyl ether, or compressed nitrogen, which provide pressure to propel the material out and form foam.
Valves and Actuators: Special foam pump heads or aerosol valves control the ratio of gas and liquid mixing, determining the density and texture of the foam.
When the nozzle is pressed, the propellant quickly vaporizes, cutting the material into micron-sized foam, while mixing with air to form a stable, dense mousse-like foam.
3. What are the common formula systems you use?
Our factory can customize various formulas of shower faom to meet the needs of different groups and target markets:
Amino acid system: gentle and skin-friendly, pH mildly acidic, suitable for infants, sensitive skin, and high-end product lines.
APG Glucoside System: Extremely low irritation, good biodegradability, suitable for natural/eco-friendly positioning.
Betaine blend system: rich in foam, cost-effective, suitable for the mass market.
Functional Combination: Can include moisturizing (hyaluronic acid, glycerin), soothing (oat extract, centella asiatica), brightening (niacinamide), and acne-fighting (salicylic acid) functional ingredients.
